Hi there,

My name is Gajan Punnia-Moorthy and I come from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. I was born on April 18th, 1989 and I’m proud to be an Australian of Sri Lankan heritage.

This website was designed specifically to showcase my  life journey as an architectural design professional to date.

Design has always been my passion whether it was cars, products like iPads and architecture. My biggest passion is architecture as this involves creativity and problem solving when designing buildings. This architectural passion developed when I was a small kid obsessed with designs of many buildings in Sydney and many iconic buildings around the world. I was inspired by many famous architects like Norman Foster and Zaha Hadid.

My other passion isCAD & Building Information Modelling as it’s the future of how architects and designers communicate their ideas. I see BIM or Building Information Modelling as a useful tool for aiding efficient delivery of architectural or construction projects.

Completing my first degree in Architectural Computing (BArchComp) at The University of New South Wales, has given me a foundation on how to approach design of architectural structures and the built environment through different CAD technologies. I has also given me ideas on how to plan project delivery/implementation through Building Information Modeling.
